EBM Retreat on September 17, 2021
On September 17, 2021, about 20 researchers from FAU and other scientific institutions met for interdisciplinary exchange on the topic of “Brain Mechanics” at FAU’s Villa Jordan. LTM chair Prof. Paul Steinmann and junior research group leader Dr. Silvia Budday, who has been investigating the influence of mechanics on brain development for years, had invited to this retreat in order to promote cooperation within the planned EBM initiative at this early stage. The day flew by with very lively and fruitful discussions and finally came to an end with a good pint of beer at Entla’s Keller. It remains exciting to see how research in this relatively young yet highly interesting field of brain mechanics will develop in the coming years.
